Re: Portal Transfer 2025

Will definitely have a lot of options for different lineups. Of course it's tough to say that's anything but a good thing, but the pattern the last two years has been: lots of new shiny pieces => "I feel like I have 10 starters" => team struggles => rotation narrows significantly => team gels and ...

Re: Portal Transfer 2025

I think they view Amos as a stretch 4 next to Miles. We should consider him a "shooter" for all intents and purposes.
He's a career 28% 3pt shooter
Where’d that number come from? He’s a career 33.7% shooter but in his breakout season with NIU where he got 30mpg he shot 38.5% on 104 attempts.

Re: Chattanooga Preview and Game Thread -- NIT Semifinals

I disagree goodnight. Overall, it was a bad year. Sure, we had 25 wins . But they were all against bad to mediocre teams. Our 12 losses were to bad to mediocre teams.
Face it. The A-10 is a second rate conference.
Haven’t posted in years but dropping in to say this is an impressively bad, lazy ...

Re: Canisius Preview and Game Thread -- 12/18/2024

Deloach and Rubin need to contribute more on offense. Feel like they aren't even given the opportunity to do so.

Right, it's like we're struggling to feed them in the post. DeLoach is getting fouled a lot and he's shooting 43%.
Opponents gameplan too. Rubin's a rim runner - great for fast breaks ...

Re: Recruiting Class of 2023

Well, it looks like Wes got over the slight in record time.

Don't know much about the Rubin twins, but offhand I'd say their commitment signals that Brock Harding is no longer in play.

Joe Henricksen article on the Rubin commitment:

m
In fairness I think treating them as individuals instead of ...

Can't forget Jalen Quinn as a back up point - Edwards can handle some as well.

Re: Recruiting Class of 2022

Agreed, he killed us this year - and was very well defended. He’s the type of iso player that can get to his spots and score from all 3 levels. Would love to see him with more talent and better spacing around him, he’s there type of player we’ve needed at times when we get to scoring ruts and need ...

I'm inferring our offering Brock Harding today signals Williams won't be a Rambler. My guess is Iowa State. But you never know.
I doubt the two are tied together given they're different years/positions at LU, but agreed Iowa State is ...

Re: Recruiting Class of 2022

Oof. Had no idea his shooting numbers were that godawful. Not sure how he's playable in our lineup, unless I'm missing something. Especially with Kennedy and Thomas's 3 pt shots both being very iffy this past year -- I think they'll improve that, but three guards/wings in the rotation with 25-30 ...

Re: Recruiting Class of 2022

Regarding Chicago kids - more a result of the class in Chicago this year than anything. A few blue blood level talents (Huff and Schutt) and a pretty sizeable gap (with AJ Casey somewhere in between).

We offered Xavier Amos from Young but he ended up at NIU, Avila to Indiana State. That said we ...
