Re: And so it begins...

This makes so much sense. They were going after someone with Nike ties, in with world wide Wes, and is a national recruiter. It seems they want to make a basketball factory like Kentucky. They are building a new basketball only practice facility on campus.

As far as us goes I think we have a ...

Re: And so it begins...

My biggest concern is DePaul. Everyone thinks Kenny pain is a lock there but if he was why didn’t he get hired already. As we advance deeper and deeper into this tournament I get more and more nervous. I think DePaul is waiting for us to be eliminated.

Now if PM wasn’t interested in DePaul at all ...

Re: And so it begins...

Gates would be very intriguing. I don’t know if he would want to step up to mid major ladder or make the jump to the high major. But damn having him back in chaicgo would be cool. Maybe get some CPL kids.... if pm leaves and gates is on the table let’s hop

Re: And so it begins...

You’re correct I highly doubt they want to try another flavor of the month mid major coach.

Re: And so it begins...

Who knows. But I have heard they want someone in the IU family. They tried outside hires and it didn’t work. Plus I highly doubt PM would want to go there. They have unrealistic expectations.

Re: And so it begins...

Heard through a reputable media source that Moser is interviewing at DePaul and Marquette. He has been contacted by IU.

Speculation aside IU scares me. I have read that Moser doesn’t want to move but IU has blank checks and that makes me nervous.

Re: Loyola To The Big east?

Two things.

They quite literally built a brand new practice facility last year. They would be fine at a practice facility level.

DePauls stadium was funded by the tax payers of Chicago, not by the university. The bill of goods feasibility study for that monstrosity projected about 33% better ...

Re: Loyola To The Big east?

This would never happen. Loyola would need to seriously up their budget on everything to compete at the high major level. Is the money even there? We would also have to have a brand new arena brand new training facilities. Can we pay as much as DePaul did for a new arena in the city? Wasn’t that ...

Re: And so it begins...

So on an avg year there is maybe 3 kids in the top 100 from the CPL. if KP goes there I can see him taking the top players over the Illini. Yea it’s going to be harder than a blue blood but Dave leatio recruited top 100 players to a sh*t team and program. I think if he came in and would change it ...

Why is that?

Because they would recruit on a crazy level. Every kid from Chicago would go to DePaul. Kenny Payne is a big whisper. Payne and T Anderson who their assistant whould be scary on the recruiting trail
