Re: Portal Transfer 2025
I guess being a bench player who might not even be in the rotation on a tournament team at far less money than he would've made at loyola is somehow appealing.

Re: Chattanooga Preview and Game Thread -- NIT Semifinals
The new post-settlement NIL reality is expected to be revenue sharing combined with a salary cap on Athletic Department spending. If and when that becomes reality (we’ll know next week), football schools are going to put most of that cap money to football…because that’s what butters their bread ...

Re: Chattanooga Preview and Game Thread -- NIT Semifinals
The A-10 is a second rate conference.
And what "first rate" conference would you (realistically) like to see Loyola in?
Unfortunately, this year's NCAA tournament a likely signal that the SEC, Big 10 and maybe the Big12, will dominate the sport, with maybe one or two ACC teams, and maybe one or ...

Nice win and really fun game to watch. The announcers were really informative, particularly the color commentator who gave much more than a standard reading of game notes about players.

Re: 2024-2025 Schedule Thread
I'm hoping deserving mid-majors can secure at large bids. My point is that I do not think Loyola has helped its case in showing it might be a deserving mid-major with this OOC schedule.440Rambler wrote:Other than Dayton right? Re: 2024-2025 Schedule Thread
It really doesn't matter how tough the OOC schedule is for a mid-major at this point. The only chance for an A-10 school to get into the Tournament is to win its conference tournament. The football schools' conferences are completely dominating the sport, even to the detriment of the Big East, which ...

Re: Oklahoma and Porter stuff
agreed. On paper, OU looks very bad. Too many unknowns and transfers in from small programs who all can't possibly be expected to even match their prior production in a P5 conference.RamblerRagas wrote:This will not be ending well in March 2025

Nebraska, Loyola Chicago, Oregon State, Charleston, Charlotte, and Hawaii to headline 2024 Diamond Head Classic.
Two of the teams in the event are still TBD.
The Diamond Head Classic is traditionally played during Christmas week in Honolulu.

Re: Oklahoma and Porter stuff
I don't know about others, but discussions about PM is now old news and largely irrelevant. He's gone, never coming back and good for him in whatever he does. Unless and until he makes a move, I have no interest in OU basketball or him.
