Was a good article....interesting that his height is working against him...most schools dont want to play an offense focused aroung the low post.......looking for mobility.....Someone in DI will offer..or as they suggested he may do a prep year to beef up.

Why not LUC?
Chet Holmgren kind of frame…give him a year or two and you get two or three solid starter years…we see now how it works w/o an inside out game….

Think he’d absolutely be worth an offer. Let him redshirt to gain some strength and weight but being that big alone he’d be an asset defensively altering shots and rebounding.

Still in the mix for Bobi! Really think it will come down to whether we can convince him that there is a path to the NBA at Loyola, as well as what shakes down with Danny Manning

Notice how he's talking about each school. Loyola is the only one he talks about which conference the team plays in. Which is interesting considering VCU is making a push and we'll be in the same conference as them.

He's clearly very conscious of what it's going to take to be in the NBA. VCU just put Bones Hyland in the NBA, so obviously they don't have to worry about the conference. We haven't put a player in the NBA, so it's an issue for us.

Based on the little quotes though, it definitely feels like it's Loyola, Rutgers, or VCU right now. Sounds like he's really connected with Valentine.

I have a feeling this is going to come down to whether we make the NCAA Tournament or not. He's not going to go to a school that isn't good enough to compete at that top level, even if Valentine has been on him since before he blew up.

Jalen Quinn was the first player listed on Illinois Hoop Prospects' All-State Second Team. Joining him is Junior Loyola recruit, Ty Pence.

Was there any word from the NCAA about the Ivy League guys getting an additional year?
