Pretty much every team in the conference applied for entry into the Big 12 when it staged its fruitless expansion pageant, from UConn to Cincinnati to East Carolina. Even Tulane, for goodness sakes.
Very true. The "big name" schools in that conference have played hopscotch with conferences the last 10-15 years. And with almost all of them driven by football money, the odds are they'll continue that trend and end up elsewhere in the next 5-10 years. So, "buyer" beware.
