Announcers: Ryan Radtke and Jim Jackson.
Channels, local affiliates and methods for listening are listed through numerous links, including availability on SiriusXM.

Thanks for your work on this, tcjpost. As a former radio guy myself, I think having a radio broadcast is still essential. You can build so much off of it-- it makes a great soundtrack for highlight videos, people can listen on the road, it is great for the few games these days where there's no TV or the game is on a special order cable channel. I don't get CBS Sports Net, SEC Network, or ESPNU, so I had to go to sports bars to watch some games this year-- would have been nice to get a broadcast play by play.

I know there's some problems getting a flagship radio broadcasting outlet in Chicago with the conflicts between pro and college sports-- there are so many games going on this time of year it's hard to find an outlet that doesn't have conflicts or where you can justify it as an expense. But you can do WLUW and have streaming on the WLUW app-- that seems like it should be an easy call.

I'm interested to see who the referees will be. Our guards might have some trouble running the offense if they are big conference refs who let a lot of contact go.

I think Clay and Bruno might, but I think guys like Townes and Jackson would actually benefit from that. They are physical guys

Thanks for the post JCT! And you're welcome...

You're on-point with everything you wrote. I'll add to the practicality of having a radio home for the Ramblers.
Possible network radio tournament coverage aside, there's an advantage to simply turning on a car radio.

Especially during 'business hours' when people are out and about. That's an active part of the day, and the radio audience should be substantial.
With a 2:10 pm start, Thursday's game will overlap into Drive Time hours.

And you're correct, it's been a decades-long challenge competing with pro and collegiate programs for air time.
But...the current advantage is with the Ramblers. The attention, emotion and momentum are all with Loyola.

Continued success will bring a brand to the games more valuable than our friends in Lincoln Park, Evanston and Champaign.

Imagine if there were local commercial and noncommercial (WLUW) calls of the game.
The over-the-air signals and streaming media audiences looking for that Loyola call (vs. truTV or Westwood One) would be substantial.

Now imagine all the benefits that would come with that...

From Jon Rothstein:

Loyola-Chicago Ramblers senior guard Ben Richardson will play in his team’s first-round NCAA Tournament game against Miami on Thursday in spite of a back issue, Loyola-Chicago head coach Porter Moser told FanRag Sports.

Ben must have hurt his back on that nasty fall at the end of the ISU game.

I wonder if there's any NCAA rule like in the NFL about disclosing injuries and playing status before games? I'm not aware of any rule, but Miami made it a point to disclose that Brown would be dressed but not play Thursday.
Maybe it's a gentleman's underdtanding or the influence of Las Vegas.
