Re: 2020-2021 Ranking
Symmetry! We are also 16 in the NET today! Blow Out wins, especially on the road get you noticed. In years past, we would get double digit leads and then take the air out of the ball and win by 6-8 points. Those did not help with the metrics or NET. I think Porter figured out that winning by bigger margins is the only way a Mid-Major can be noticed. Question is, with more Mid-Majors getting noticed in the NET, when will NCCA create a new formula to keep P5 conferences getting higher rankings than the Mid-Majors?

Just keep winning, everything else will follow.

#28 in AP Poll. Drake cracks the poll at #25. https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-colleg ... ll?week=11
Meaning we just need a few teams above us to lose, for us to keep winning and we should HOPEFULLY be looking at a top 25 showdown with Drake...

Re: 2020-2021 Ranking
The last time the Ramblers were actually in the AP Top 25 poll was the final poll of the 1984-85 season, March 11, 1985. Loyola moved up from #16 to #14 after winning the Midwestern City Conference tournament.
Even when the Ramblers were 28-5, riding a 10-game winning streak, and had just won the MVC tournament by 16 points on CBS, Loyola only got 68 votes (27th) in the final poll of 2017-18. The Ramblers got 162 votes, just 3 votes behind #25 Washington in the 2018-19 preseason poll.
Loyola was #7 in the final coaches poll of 2017-18, which came out after the National Championship in 2018.
But the Ramblers haven't appeared in the AP Top 25 since that last poll of 1985. That's a 35 year, 10 month, 21 day drought.
