They sold out the student section for the first two games. Since then it's been about 1/3 full.

Maybe this should move to another string but 2 more possible reasons for our lower attendance.

1-Some staying home and watching the game. I believe I read that our home games are televised.
2-If I am not mistaken we have also scheduled more home games. So some may be selective on the games they attend.

As of now 2 of our games are sold out. The one against St Joe’s and of course, Dayton. You know that Dayton is bringing their bunch, never an if with them.

Just looking ahead at this weekend’s (11:30 AM!) game against South Florida. It appears to be selling fairly well.

I think we all want to avoid having attendance become or stay an issue. It took so long to get it going at the Joe.

It can be a lot of fun when the crowd is rocking.
And oh how The Pack is needed!

Regarding #1: All home games have been on TV the last few years (NBC Sports Chicago and now Marquee) except for maybe a few here and there. And those would still be on ESPN+. Also of course people stay home to listen to the radio broadcast.

Yep, wasn't sure so thanks for setting that straight. As you mentioned Marquee, that's to what I was referring.

PS..dig that radio plug :D

As I've been watching the games, I've noticed generally that Moore does not like to take the three point shot when wide open. Where have you gone Braden? I know he's better dropping in 2 pointers but I still miss the PG position dropping in threes.

Other thought. We have to ease up a bit on the fouls and I think this season we can avg 71% from the FT line. We've been better avoiding turnovers so far.

I'd like to see Hendawy in the games a little sooner.

Well, TO's were a bit high at 15 for Eastern games and they really didn't pressure us much. I agree with Sloth84, too many subs. I get trying to get guys in/keep them happy, but when we have a line-up getting traction and playing well, we need to let that line-up play a bit longer. It does seem like Drew feels some of these guys are interchangeable and he likes to sub when a guy gets a foul or TO. I get the foul thing a little as seems like he doesn't want anyone accumulating fouls too quickly or early in a game.

The attendance has been down, but quite honestly it has been a bit of an underwhelming home schedule so far. This may explain the season ticket holders aspect, but the students doesn't make sense. The coordination of the Pack has also been off in their cheering and they seem to leave at halftime. We need to bring the original Pope back to fire these kids up! The schools has been giving away swag and will be giving away 500 Ugly Sweaters Saturday, so maybe we can get it packed and with the conference season and VCU fast approaching, let's hope this changes.

In all fairness, I'm a season ticket holder since ’15. My seat mates next to us are season ticket holders but drive in from out of state and don't attend any of the week day games. That being said, yeah I think season ticket sales are down which is terrible since the team has shown flashes of brilliance and can possibly make a run again.

The Pack side worries me more. Yeah I know Loyola isn't a pushover school, but I would think one of the reasons they attended LUC was basketball and their success. To not show up for games, when it's included in your tuition iirc, is just kinda sad. You can take a couple of hours off studying to attend the game and show your support and spirit. I hope it improves as the season goes on

The OG bishop did join them a few times over there last year

Could be worse..... could be 2014 instead of 2024

Concerning the lesser season ticket numbers, the fresh aroma from the 2018 final four has definitely wore off. I remember lots of folks from those 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons who are no longer with us or seated around us. Some of them were Porter people too. Some of them were also there just because of the final four and didn't even have LUC ties.

However, how tight knit the remaining circle is and everyone's dedication should not be overlooked. Coming to every game is very special.

I drive a good way.....and the late weeknight games are just a lot....getting home near midnight is a lot. But the continual turnover of players really does not let me develop a fan relationship with many of the guys....For whatever reason dont feel the same attachment and hard to match the intensity of those Missouri Valley games....seems like the Women's games have also moved starting times for the Men's team back later....But I really would be disappointed if the student turnout does not improve....My gut tells me the games against teams they do not recognize or who do not seem like a challenge leave them feeling it does not make a difference if they are there or not....I think when they feel the games matter and that they matter they will be there.
and by the way Coach Moser is off to a good start and a #20 ranking.
