Florida Preview and Game Thread-- 12-06-2017

I wish we could organize a Jesuit tournament in Rome (doing as we have Jesuit pope) - loyola, Georgetown, Xavier, Marquette, Gonzaga, St. Louis. Good lineup, good idea and would get good press. Would be nice to play more solid Jesuit schools. I’m all about improving our schedule but I would like to play more teams like those guys more than northwestern and DePaul.

Definitely don't want to play DePaul; they're an RPI anchor.

If you are looking for some fun reading, go back and look at those two Gator messageboard links on the first page Of this thread. It makes me feel a lot better about some of our posts after the Boise StAte game. These guys don’t take losing well.

For all the anxiety around our defense we only have really had two bad games on that end, Wright State and Boise (UNCW scored 70+ but we also scored 100+ so...) no one on Florida hit double figures.

Our defense is just fine BUT it Must go along with our good offense and vice versa. Pm came in teaching Defense but that was pretty much all we had. So far now a days we have both O and D !! It is working !! EG Tonight we got off to a nice lead then our Defense took charge !!

Wow- what a night.All 10 of us Rambler fans had a STUPENDOUS time sitting behind the bench cheering this great group of guys to a FANTASTIC win.
Really impressed with great teamwork- both on offense and defense.Jackson and Krutwig were both beasts against that Gator frontline.Ingram was outstanding filling in at the point in the 2 nd half for Custer.Until his injury,Custer was outstanding.With ice in his veins,Satterwaite was the late game hero,sinking 4 crucial free throws with the Gator crowd yelling and screaming trying to make him choke.

All in all,this is a team to be really proud of.We even got some congratulatory words from several Gator fans as we left the arena.They were really impressed with Loyola's teamwork and great hustle.
Go Ramblers!This could be a great year-it is already.

A side note- Angelitis is the only one to witness Loyola's only loss-in Boise.So we were a little apprehensive about letting him in the arena last night,but all's well that ends well.
