Boo!
We'll probably fall out of the Top 25. Forget about a 6 seed. Drake won't move very far up in the NET as a result, so if they lose any more games the might fall out of Quad 1. NET will probably fall to 18 or 20.
Looking back to yesterday, probably should have pulled some guys a little earlier instead of playing so many guys past 30 minutes in a stressful high-stakes game.

That Drake celebration at the end was ridiculous. We’re the better team, we played like complete dogshit, had three times the amount of turnovers, weren’t getting any calls, and still almost pulled off the win. Porter’s coaching down the end offensively was pretty bad.

Maybe this one will be like that Bradley game in Peoria in 2018.

Big play was that Krutwig turnover where he got trapped and threw it downcourt to the Drake player. They turned that into a 3 and then picked up the momentum. Uncharacteristic for him to 1 force it and not call a TO and then 2 to turn it over that bad. Doubt that'd happen again in the future.

Tired legs and poor execution is a bad recipe to win with. Learn from it, and take it out on Valpo.

I agree. That was such a costly play. He didn't even have to call timeout. Norris was open right in front of him. Just a total brainfart of a play.RamblinTank22 wrote:Big play was that Krutwig turnover where he got trapped and threw it downcourt to the Drake player. The SECOND illegal screen they called on him was pretty cheap, too. All he did was roll away. Took a Norris tbree off the board.
Seemed like Clemons was on the bench for a long stretch.

Norris hit the three in that second moving screen call, too. Game changer if that counts.ahunte1 wrote:I agree. That was such a costly play. He didn't even have to call timeout. If Loyola had lost Krut or Lucas for the year and knocked of a ranked team at home right afterwards, I'd expect us to be celebrating. I don't fault Drake for celebrating at all.
Just frustrating knowing the chances we had. Offensive execution was pathetic. We had all the momentum, the national spotlight, everything...and we score points in 45 minutes of basketball. What a joke.

We haven't been in too many close games this year, but this game exposed some vulnerabilities. Poor free throw shooting took ball out of Krutwig 's hand down the stretch. Idk why coach burned so many time outs and then had to rely on getting ball inbounds, which was perilous against a scrappy Drake defense. And too many turnovers all weekend. If they play a skillful pressing team in tournament, they'll have problems.
