Hosting DePaul at Gentile on Saturday, December 3. That'll be a for sure sell-out. Can't wait.

Just came here to do exactly that, 9599.

Would add the participants for the Myrtle Beach MTE (with T-Rank preseason prediction rank): Boise State (98), Charlotte (160), Colorado (76), Murray State (197), Texas A&M (19), Tulsa (145), and UMass (141). FYI, we're ranked at 51.

Yep, it was announced by a reputable beat reporter on Twitter today.

I hope we get a neutral or away game against a good P5 team. Or a first round matchup in Myrtle vs Texas A&M.

Sorry for not replying to individual posters directly, but I'm catching up after not visiting for a month.

The A-10 isn't making a conference schedule based on geography, so not getting Dayton/SLU twice every year JUST because "they're the closest."

EVERYTHING this conference does is based on "how do we get the most possible NCAA Tournament bids?"

Dayton, SLU, VCU, Loyola, and Davidson are expected to be the top five next year. So UD/SLU play all four of the others, twice. VCU and Davidson play 3 of them twice, Loyola plays two of them twice.

In addition to having the best possible games for TV inventory, it also allows for the most possible NCAA candidates. Teams 3-4-5 will do worse vs that top group than teams 1-2; and the top finishers of the NEXT TIER (expected 6-10 teams) will have records similar to 3-4-5. And now it looks like we have 7 NCAA candidates who beat each other up and we deserve 4-5 bids. That's the goal.

That's also why we're at 18 games and not 20; and why we were one of the last conferences to go from 16 to 18 conference games (even though we had 14 to 16 teams).

Every conference goes .500 against itself, and most of your opponents (at least 19) are conference opponents. So your SOS comes from -- more than anything else -- the non-conference record of your conference opponents.

We could go 15-15 against each other in conference games 19 and 20; OR we could try and go 30-0 in two more OOC games.

And of course, the most important thing anyone can do to help the league: When you're not expected to be one of the best teams in the A-10, play an OOC schedule were you're just going for wins.

it wouldn't surprise me if we had a couple of road games against an ACC and a PAC 10 team.
JUST A STRONG FEELING.
