Watch, they'll slap us in the face by scheduling UIC.

NC State will open the renovated Welsh Ryan. Count on it. ;)

The funny thing is if you told them last year they could get a final four team on their schedule to open their new arena, they would have jumped on it. And I’m sure they would love to schedule a final four team to open up their new gym now.. which is why it’s so funny and awesome that they could still do it... it would just have to be US! Hahahah.

That’s why we need a giant sign on Sheridan, saying exactly that. Everyone who drives up to Evanston will have to see it.

Please see my post on DEPAUL thread !! We need neither DEPEWL or NW-- I feel plenty of teams will wish to play us home and home !! Gentile will be a happy place for years to come !!

If you look at last year, we lost two starters. We returned three starters and our six man. We got Townes who played 1600 minutes of D1 ball including one season as a starter. We added two freshman exceeded expectations.

This year we again three starters. We have our seventh man. We also Ave a transfer. However this transfer has only has 140 minutes of D1. He scored 23 points and 14 rebounds. To put this into perspective, Negron played 71 minutes scored 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Our 34 point loss to Bosie State more than offset our win over Florida.

It is going to take time to get these guys into a team. We have very little experience.

Coach was on the Andy Katz podcast, and they mentioned a tournament in Ft Myers. It sounded like the teams were still being finalized, but three teams mentioned were Boston College, Richmond, and Wyoming.

According to the Blogging the Brackets blog (https://www.bloggingthebracket.com/2017 ... anksgiving), Richmond, BC and Wyoming are playing in the Suncoast Classic. Looks like we'd be replacing Ole Miss who is reported to be in the Emerald Coast Classic (with Baylor, Cincy and George Mason).

This would be a definite upgrade. BC will be a tournament quality team next season and obviously a P5 opportunity. Good chance that all three can be Q1/Q2 type wins.
