Best part about his shot from the highlights is he can hit it off the dribble. Not just a catch and shoot guy. Having a outside threat who can create his own shot is huge.

Apparently already visited, so must be serious. Shot 36.4% from 3 this season. Scoring guard, probably a Des replacement.
Re: Portal Transfer 2025
Patrick Seems like he has a very similar profile to the player we expected Daniil to be....albeit an inch or 2 shorter. Does this portend something?

Miles is BACK!!!!!!!! If you would’ve told me we lost the game last night but he’d be back in a Loyola uniform, I would’ve taken it 7 days a week and twice on Sunday
Re: Portal Transfer 2025
I might not go quite that far, but it is great news. I expect that it will be his last year with the program. If everyone returns, next year is going to be a very talented team that can both defend and score in diverse ways.JArsy_22 wrote:https://x.com/andiidarevesz/status/1907324547646243217?s=46

As much as I can be a pessimist at times, let’s not immediately sour this news with bad thoughts about the 2026 transfer portal
This is amazing news! Potential to be one of the all timers in the maroon and gold, he should be our all time block leader before we even hit conference play next year! Plus, have to imagine it helps with our recruiting in the short term knowing we have a rim running defensive anchor, everybody seems to love playing with Miles

This is fantastic news. Drew was right when he spoke about revenue sharing being good for Loyola and non-football based schools. Some of the earlier threads where we are being mentions might in the hunt might be an indicator that some of these talented guys at big programs might consider schools like Loyola due to the "bigger names" sucking most of the big money that is available.AMDG wrote:I might not go quite that far, but it is great news. As far as next year is concerned, we have the makings of a good base, but we need some pieces. The German kid is a good start, but we need a bona fide low post scorer and at least 2 other bona fide 3 pt shooters.
So, let's see how the portal shakes out.
I did see an interesting article regarding the amount of kids in the portal and the ending of the COVID additional year. Here's the link https://www.anonymouseagle.com/2025/3/2 ... es-warning . The premise is that everyone has been diving into the portal since COVID with all the seniors and grad students that were available due to the extra year. This might be why the number of kids in the portal was so high. He speculates that with this coming to an end there be as much as 25% fewer players in the portal moving forward. This might mean that as coaches who were maybe relying on the portal times might get tougher there will be be dramatically fewer players to chase. He further talks about how coaches who continued to recruit high school players, Like Shaka Smart (author is a Marquette fan), may have an advantage because they kept their options open.
Interesting points. It will be interesting to see what happens next year in 2026 with the portal.
