Not surprising. Looks like the tourney let 2020 Seniors who were lined up but didn't get a chance to play last year play this year. That means Bruno was the only option since this year's seniors didn't get considered.

He's a real good player, and I thought he'd be part of a formidable core at Drake. I would not be shocked to see him at DePaul, which is becoming depleted, like Javon Freeman-Liberty left Valpo.
Whoa, that sucks!
He's clearly starter material. Hard to ask him to do 15 minutes a game for another season when he just gave you 40 to win a tourny game.
He looked like their best player, even when he was coming off the bench.
That guy has a future. He probably wants to showcase himself against the top competition

Wisconsin apparently has reached out to him.
it is hard when players, like coaches, in mid-major programs, who achieve a modicum of success, are poached by P5/6 conferences.

Ok Nate. What was the last name of all five Cobden Appleknockers starters.
And those were great tourneys. You played in the morning and the afternoon.
Next quiz question: who was Smedley, who did he play for and what did he do that was significant?

I’m not sure of their names, but I can tell you their pictures still hang on the wall of a great bar down there.

I cannot answer Nate's counter question but I can answer my own.
Cobden had about 400 students
The five starters were all named Smith. That and one reserve. They were brothers and cousins.
Smedley played for Carver and won the title game on a last second shot that would have been a three pointer today.
He was a reserve who had come off the bench for someone who fouled out. It was his only basket.

Smedley made tithe winning basket for Carver to win the championship. That game was shown live. Then they showed the championship game of Loyola’s against Cincy on a tape delay.
