Loyola hires new Associate Head Coach

To my surprise when I checked out LoyolaRamblers.com today, Matt McCarthy was hired to replace Kris Berzins. McCarthy was previously the associate head coach at Lewis.

I was really happy with this hire! I think this was by far best case scenario. He knows the area, is clearly a good coach, and it has to mean something if he's moving laterally to us from Lewis. I wouldn't think that "closer to home" would be the reason, so either he feels we are a better program or we are willing to significantly invest more in our coaches and program than Lewis. Either way, great hire by Hulse!
