I do not follow professional sports much anymore, but I saw something on the internet this morning that caused me to recall a game between the Cubs and Mets in 1969 in which Don Young dropped a flyball, leading to a Cub loss. That was the beginning of the end for the Cubs, as they went on to blow a substantial lead for the National League pennant.
Last night a Cub outfielder missed a routine flyball which allowed two runs to score and gave the Braves the win.

Sad to admit but I remember that too! Creepy end to a nice run in 2nd half of season. Onto Ramblers season…
