Re: Jacob Hutson: 15 boards in 15 minutes
I put zero weight on that. Calumet College lost to Huntington by 60 the day before. Getting rebounds against them was not overlooked. It was discounted. Hutson looked terrible. Welch is going to have a really good year.

Re: Offensive Issues
Such a mystery but Kaifes's injury or something else has changed his stroke. Maybe in the corner in his fav spot, but still have to move him down. In a Donte/Miami type 3, I go Clemons, Williamson (just a hunch) Norris, Hall (another unsubstantiated hunch). Overall I put them in this order:
Clemons ...
Clemons ...

Re: Offensive Issues
Great post! Since you mentioned Welch, here's my take. I am more worried about our defensive than our offense. Crazy, right?
Our Offense will bounce back some, but Welch and Aher have definitely fallen into a defensive slump. Welch really struggled and Aher's minutes are down and Porter seems to ...

Re: Conference Awards
I THINK Krut wins the POTY award but that's arguable. IMO, there is no way you can have one of the statistically best defensive teams in the country and not give the award to its best defensive player. Lucas has got to be the man.

Re: Vanderbilt Preview and Game Thread -- 12/18/2019
Krut is such a given so I won't comment on him. Kennedy, Clemons, Hall and Pipkins are growing every game. All played a key role tonight. For a while Kennedy was the best player on the court.

Re: Boston College Preview and Game Thread -- 11-21-2018
On a related but off topic note, like Blers42, I wonder how athletes get the rep of being athletic. Yes, standing on the court, Aguak looks like he would be athletic. I supposed being quick, fast, jumping high, etc are all signs of athleticism, but I've been to every game but 1 and Aguak seems ...

Re: Richmond Preview and Game Thread -- 11-19-2018
Yep, well aware of him. He is very good. I had my roommate watch the game again. He went around us without any defense 8 times (missed 2 of those shots). Everyone (including me) wants to see more Frank and Christian. Every time Porter put them in, he pulled them out quickly and immediately ...

Re: Richmond Preview and Game Thread -- 11-19-2018
It’s not the entire defense I was referring to. It’s the defense under the basket. It was terrible all game. I was there and I can tell you Porter was going crazy. At least six times their center made our guys in the middle look terrible. All three of them. Let’s not lose sight when we pat ourselves ...

Re: Richmond Preview and Game Thread -- 11-19-2018
Some good things I saw: We can really drive to the basket. Between Townes, Custer, Williamson and Bujdoso we slashed through Richmond the entire 2nd half. Bujdoso looked really good except one missed defensive assignment and a couple of missed free throws. He is going to be very good, imo. Don't ...
