63 is normally correct--If so this time , it allows for only three or so more games if that many. Well we should do well against that bunch---you think ???

Just to follow up on 63's post, the Portland Tournament is official from what I've been told.

The Portland St. tournament is a total bummer for me.

Portland St. ended the year with an RPI of 339 (6-20).
UC-Davis ended the year with an RPI of 234 (14-17).
SIU-Edwardsville ended the year with an RPI of 304 (7-18).

These teams suck. The only redeeming quality of this tournament is that we will see Corey Hawkins of UC-Davis. He is a quality guard and is one to watch this year. Otherwise...ugh. What a stinker.

Jim Les is coach at UC Davis. Bradley fans will enjoy the matchup. Jim's son is on the team.

Yeah this is a pretty awful group. I guess it was the best we could do. I know there were some issues scheduling an MTE because they don't usually (ever?) allow for multiple teams from the same conference. We were blocked early because of the HL and the later because of the MVC. Things just didn't work out.

On the plus side, we should win some games.

I seriously don't get how we have been such abject failures in setting up our own MTE.

I mean, if I had to guess, it all comes down to money. But I'm sure we could have found better teams to come in here.

Tulane has just released their schedule. They will be hosting Loyola on Saturday, November 16th. One more piece of the puzzle in place.

WELL, now , we are truly a National team--at least this season---Coast to Coast and North to South . I love it !!

Incidentally ,on a personal note in 1973, my daughter , Paula graduated from Tulane, Magna cum laude--Her husband , Paul in 1972 --
Gee , I truly would love to renew acquaintance with the Big Easy, one of my favorite cities !!
New York, Portland and Nawlins !!! AND we can win them all !

GO RAMBLERS !!

I'm happy with the Tulane game. That will be a nice trip for us, and probably a tough game.

Last year we had five non-con home games against D1 teams, so hopefully the TBD is another home game. (Of course, we do have an extra conference game at home this year.)
