If the Valley expands to 12 I think UMKC will be one of the three in. They've said they'd take the bid, are in a big market, provide a good travel partner for Missouri St., play in a newly renovated Municipal Auditorium which seats 7,300, and were mentioned as an unofficial finalist in 2013. Although, they aren't the biggest name for a basketball school, they seem to be trending up. Made the CBI this year, and have a young coach who is upgrading their recruiting and was an assistant at Indiana St., Evansville, and Drake at different points before being the head coach.
