Rumor has it, Illinois is looking for a couple more home games this year. I know we are trying to move away from them, but I think it might be worthwhile to offer a 3 for 1 like we did with Purdue and MSU.
Sure, we'd have to play on the road this year, but getting U of I at our place in the future would be nice.

Re: Scheduling: Illinois
It'd be sweet if it were to happen, but I doubt they'd ever agree to a game in Chicago played anywhere except the United Center or AllState

Re: Scheduling: Illinois
If i'm LU and i'm talking to Illinois, and they ask for a "neutral" site...i'd agree but make it a 2 for 1 deal.

Re: Scheduling: Illinois
Nope--We are not yet ready for the Illini-BUT if we want to schedule a Big Ten team--How about Nebraska, Penn St or even the Mild kitties ???
Another year or two, we will be ableto play any of them competitively--

I don't think we need to "be ready" for the Illini. We went down there last year and played them tough (for what we had). We need real competition to help ourselves in conference.
