Just make sure to allow for plenty of time. I did the drive between Dallas and Austin last summer. It was a nightmare with traffic.

Mr Furley, I live in Austin, and I second what 01grad says. In fact, I would go as far as recommending against your plan; I-35 is a NIGHTMARE, with lots of construction and congestion. If it's possible, fly into San Antonio.
If you stick with your plan, I would highly recommend you take the 130 toll road, which you pick up near Georgetown, north of Austin, at least to get you around Austin.
If you want more details, feel free to ask.

To all my Rambler faithful,
It is with great joy and excitement that I announce that I will be attending the game! (A bit corny, but nonetheless) It will be my first game since my last trip to Chicago 2 years ago!
The ticket was around $230 via stubhub, but came out to approximately $300!
If you’re looking for airfare, Southwest still has decent prices. Coming from the east coast, mine was about $650. Flying into Austin was better, as prices are a bit cheaper.
Staying with fellow alums in Austin we’ll all be there Saturday! Hope to see a lot of you there!

Thanks for posting the ticket details Robbie!
Bought two tickets and will be there to finish my journey of being at every game since the arch finals.
It’s been one hell of a ride. Ready for two more!
