Avatar Question

This may be a dumb question, but where do you all find your avatars? I would like to add one but am not sure of there is a place for which to choose one or if we create our own.

This may be a dumb question, but where do you all find your avatars? I would like to add one but am not sure of there is a place for which to choose one or if we create our own.

Most people create their own that says something about their personality. We put up a bunch of generic avatars in the avatar bank for people that don't know a lot about graphics and tech stuff.... What you should do is find an image that you think says something for or about you, reduce it to 100x100 pixels or smaller, and upload it to your account.

Go to the User Control Panel link in the upper right hand corner, then to Profile (on the left hand side of the screen), then to Edit Avatar. At that point, you can click on the Choose File button, and upload your picture. It's a fun way to add some personality to your posts and let people know immediately and visually who is posting.

Let some of us know if you need more help. If you're having trouble, you can post your picture here, and someone will reduce it to the necessary size. Then right click on the reduced size pic, and save it to your computer for upload according to the above instructions.
