For those that don't always check in with the men's volleyball team, it's something of a rebuilding year for the Ramblers. Even so, Loyola was ranked #11 in the country by the AVCA in their preseason poll. That's one of the lowest preseason rankings for Loyola in many years, and behind fellow MIVA members Lewis (#6) and slightly ahead of IPFW (#14). Loyola was picked to finish 3rd in the MIVA Preseason Poll, behind Lewis and IPFW.
Loyola started the season last night, Jan. 2 by defeating one of the top Conference Carolinas team, King, by a 3-1 score. Tonight the young Ramblers face #3 BYU at Gentile Arena.
