Loyola Week continues! Perks of being in the top 25 I guess. This one courtesy of The Athletic (behind a paywall unfortunately).

Nice article mostly focusing on Porter and the culture, and don't want to give away too much, but you love to read things like this.

“I’ve turned down a handful of jobs,” Moser says. “It’s not to say I never will take another job, but I’ve just been happy, man. I believe we can win here. I want to get another banner.”

Know he's obviously never going to say "I'm planning on leaving", but you can't help but believe he really means it.

And this was my favorite portion

While it won’t make it on to the “Culture Wall” in the locker room, defense at Loyola is the pursuit of “great shit.” This is one of the highest compliments the coach can dispense when he likes what he sees at practice, and Moser becomes a fountain of mildly profane praise when his group gets rolling.

A turnover leads to a 3-on-2 break and a wide-open 3-point look for senior guard Tate Hall on the wing.

“That was great shit right there,” Moser declares.

If I were selecting a Cinderella for the Tournament this year, I'd pick Wright State. They'll probably be a 13 seed. They're right around 52 in KenPom, and they've got a lot of senior leadership.... and they've been demolishing their opponents recently.

A team I’d keep an eye on, if they happen to make the tournament, is one we’re familiar with this year: North Texas. They won again tonight, and are 7-2 in Conference USA. They’ll need to win their conference to get in, but if they do they’ll have a puncher’s chance against a lot of teams with the way they play defense.
