Final McCafferty Trophy Standings

1. Cleveland State - 45 points
2. Loyola - 41 points
3. Milwaukee - 39.5 points
4. UIC - 36.5 points
5. Detroit - 36 points
6. Valparaiso - 35 points
7. Youngstown State - 28 points
8. Green Bay - 22 points
9. Wright State - 16 points

It's too bad. It would have been such a nice coup de grâce as we left the Horizon. We kinda blew it when the softball team floundered in the tournament. We were the only HL school not to field a women's tennis squad, and one of two schools (along with Milwaukee) to not field a men's tennis team. I think Detroit is the only other school besides us that doesn't have swimming/diving. And then there's baseball....

Yes, it would have been enjoyable to bow out in first place. But I guess when you take into account how many sports we do not offer in comparison with the other schools, I'm not that disappointed.
