I've been a bit derisive about Moser in the past here. That game yesterday was a masterpiece of coaching and it certainly has to have the big programs thinking about him.

I just have a feeling the seniors will want to be back and everyone will decide on one more run. Next year could be really magical for this program.

Ben and Marques both on Twitter advocating for Loyola to go to the Big East (or A10) to keep Porter. Love those guys, but also hope that Loyola not moving to a bigger conference isnt the nail in the coffin for PM. Those are hard things to manage, especially with DePaul in the way

The "lets trade DePaul for Loyola" thing was trending on Twitter yesterday.... I think it was started by Big East fans.

Can’t agree more, while that certainly sounds exciting and flashy, the MVC is a great conference, competitive teams, lots of tradition, and good fans. MVC took us when we were not a great team, and hopefully we should show more loyalty. It doesn’t always work out either, look at DePaul and Wichita St, both are in big conferences and DePaul can’t advance above the bottom of the conference. Wichita state is still a good basketball program but they haven’t had the heights they did prior to leaving. It’s a tough call and as Dansen said, sometimes you don’t get the call. Guess time will tell, but a lot of us say we want to be Gonzaga, they didn’t leave and still achieve incredible heights while in the WCC. It is possible to be a perennial top 25 team in a smaller conference.

Heard through a reputable media source that Moser is interviewing at DePaul and Marquette. He has been contacted by IU.

Speculation aside IU scares me. I have read that Moser doesn’t want to move but IU has blank checks and that makes me nervous.

I dont trust any of those sources...all those talking heads have to say something.....bla....bla bla.......and you are obligated to take a couple interviews..up your value...but I guarantee he is not interviewing now.

No interviews are being done while he is Indianapolis. He doesn't have to. Schools may be contacting his agent, but they are not contacting him. He is too focused on these games. All of those jobs would have to wait. It is possible that he told his representation that if school x calls - put together a contract.

The good news for us is that with all of these blue blood programs at home - all of their assistants can interview, like Scheyer, for available jobs.

Minnesota grabbed an Xavier assistant - under normal circumstances these assistants are not available for another week or two.

I did read an article that said Porter should be on a short list to replace Coach K. My guess is that he will pick his successor. This is truly a silly season.

I still don't think DePaul is an option. I read that Thad Matta and Mike Woodson have both interviewed and IU is interested in Texas Tech's coach. Can't get rid of those Knight ties.

Marquette is problematic because unlike DePaul it gets great community support and has good facilities.
