Busy news day.
Verbal Commits reports we offered Richard Barron, a 6'5" shooting guard from St. Ignatius.

It looks like we may have closed the books on the recruiting class of 2022 and are focusing on '23.
I wonder if this bodes well for our chances of signing '22 Bobi Klintman?

Unclear if an official or unofficial, but another down state prospect making a visit to campus.
Already has offers from Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois, Illinois, Akron, Bradley, UIC, and today both Iowa State and Butler.

From St Joe Ogden, not far (from a downstate perspective) from Tuscola, so I wonder if he knows Jalen Quinn.

I know downstate direction is indicated by "as the crow flies", but what is the native unit of distance?01grad wrote:From St Joe Ogden, not far (from a downstate perspective) from Tuscola, so I wonder if he knows Jalen Quinn.
Is it a "yonder", a "stretch", a "hog's tether" or a "whoop and a holler"?
For example, would it be correct Downstate Speak to say "St. Joe Ogden is only a whoop and a holler from Tuscola as the crow flies?"
And what is the metric equivalent of a "country mile"?
