Just a fantastic, gutsy, shorthanded win on the road against the clear #2 team in the league. Kudos to the coaching staff for a great game plan and execution. Tate was great, Williamson was a leader, Aher came up big, and the results speak for themselves: first place, another Q1 or Q2 win, and the at large arrow pointed up.

Great win! A day of rest last week sure seemed to help us.

Aher was huge. Really exposed Mosley on defense. Happy for Tate, too he really stepped up.

Very good game on our end, especially that second half. Going forward, I think Welch should be the backup center for Knight. I feel better about the team after this game. Let's hope we can pull off a pair of road wins against valpo and Bradley. UNI on the road will be tough, and I won't lose hope if we drop that one.

Major kudos to Drew and the coaching staff. We needed to play this one differently than the first - and we did. MSU made some great individual plays, but they never got into an offensive rhythm. Lucas and Aher were great on Mosely, but give the coaches the credit. We consciously put more size (Aher) on him. We doubled consistently - particularly out high - and we doubled well. . Played some zone.. Played some 3/4 pressure. And - we made a concerted effort to drive on Mosely when he was on D (which is generous...because he doesn't really play much D). Big changes from the first MSU game.

And - the great adjustment to swarm Prim in the second half. Plus sticking with Tate over Schweiger for the entire second half.

We just saw Drew's finest moment as our HC. Well done Drew!

Agree on Drew! Excellent game plan.
I checked and refs this game were Ken Pom #’s 10, 12 and 27!
Quite a difference from the last MSU group at home.
Also hope Tate’s found something….
Ken Pom shot us back up to #25…
Go Ramblers….

Also, we know it likely will not happen, but I think the race for the Bird Trophy between Lucas and Mosley should be closer than it will end up being. When Lucas can actually play without ticky tack foul trouble, he drops 19 and 5 while holding Mosley to 12 on 14 shot attempts. Not to mention Mosley’s defense (or lack thereof). Maybe I’m just a homer but I think there should be more consideration than just handing Mosley the trophy as a foregone conclusion.

I think if we win conference by 2 or more games OR we win conference and Missouri State finished 4th (or worst), Lucas is the favorite. They loving giving the Larry Bird to the best player on the best team.
