My theory that Aher scoring double figures is always the key to victory will be put to the test here.

AJ Green is a terrible defensive player.

Just about a perfect game. Great response after Bradley. When we hit the 3 consistently, we are a different team. Defense was energetic and engaged today too, pressure and steals led to that huge lead. Maybe a turn the corner game and the fellas were saving themselves? Great win and we are back in first. Keep it up and focus on one game at a time.

On a side and unrelated note, ISU r fired muller today. If Reeves transfers, that is someone we should poach for the A10, he would look great in maroon and gold and scoring in the A10. Long shot as he could go to a power 5, but that’s a call Coach V should make.

In our last three games vs UNI, w have won by 25, 42 [the biggest loss they have ever had in MVC play] and now 27. We have basically been treating them like we treat Coppin St and Roosevelt. Fantastic, high-energy performance today to reclaim first place. Awesome to see.

That being said, I fully expect an extremely competitive game to end the regular season at their place.

Absolutely massive win. Vaulted us up all the way to 24 on Kenpom. Crowd was thin to start but filled up pretty well once we were a few minutes in. Likely because of Super Bowl but student section was close to smallest it’s been all year. But awesome effort all the way around. Did Green even score in the second half?? Let’s keep this momentum rolling!!

Great performance! Shots going in always make the offense look better, but the movement on offense was way, way, way better than it’s been in a long time this year.

If my math is correct (always debatable) this win clinches at least a top 6 finish this year, no matter what happens. That means we won’t play on Thursday, which means during our entire time in the MVC we will have never ended our season on Thursday in St Louis. Considering where we were when we joined the MVC, and what other schools thought of us, that’s always been one of my favorite stats.

I really felt 8.5 was too much HAH !!!

I think this game was indicative of what this team truly is. I attribute a lot to those three losses to 1) the ridiculously long, momentum killing COVID pause, and 2) mis-using Hutty and Knight. But-for those things, I think there would be a good chance we would be a 2 loss team in the top 15 nationally.

The good news is, it looks like the Knight change to start us off has alleviated the slow start problems, and both seems to be improving with the new lineup and substitution strategy.

I don't expect us to come out and shoot 51% the rest of the way... but i do think that we are going to be able to build comfortable leads and win out.

Very impressed that we were able to build a 30-point lead without Kennedy ever seeing the floor.

Guys are stepping up, and i think we are in for a very exciting 3 weeks.
