Drake hasn't been playing all that well. I think this is a good time to get them at home.
I think if the ramblers win this game, they win the regular season title

Team remains befuddling. Valpo - for whatever we want to think about them playing close games etc...is not a very good team. Maybe it was the bus ride, maybe its the matchups, maybe its just being in Valpo for the night. But, this game was bailed out by 2 6'7 centers in Knight and Welch. Not sure that works going forward and it certainly won't work against any teams with length if we get into the tourney.
On a positive note, I absolutely love that Tate Hall is back in the rotation. And once we get Marquise back, we should be good. The only team that really concerns me in St.Louis is Bradley. Always a brutal matchup.

Hope we dont draw Valpo in Arch Madness...they have the size and length and smarts that bother us....
Did anyone notice on the telecast last night, the comments about Nick Micheal, Director of Sports Performance- Mens's Basketball...Giving him credit for what they described as obvious bulk up of the team!! Was he a replacement? an addition? The commentators also saw it as a sign of LU's commitment to the program.
3 headed center continues to work

Nick Michael is new, joined in May of last year per the Loyola website. https://loyolaramblers.com/staff-directory/nick-michael/283 he's definitely a specimen on the sideline. I thought Dave Vitel our previous strength coach joined Porter in Norman but it doesn't appear so, that being said I don't think he's associated with Loyola Athletics anymore.

Dave is still around, just in a new (promoted?) role! He’s the “Associate athletics director - Sports Performance” so I think just running strength and conditioning for a lot of the department as a whole. Makes sense, he’s been around a long time!
