Wonder if we put interest out there. A very athletic, 6’8” 240 lbs graduate player. Never could put it all together at Michigan (seemed a lot like some mental stuff, getting in his own head), but had flashes of being a great player. Definitely a combo of size/athleticism that could really make an impact at the mid major level.

Edit: Hm, not sure why embedding isn’t working but the name is Brandon Johns Jr., former top 75 recruit

It's a little dizzying seeing all these interests/offers etc with transfers. It seems like we legitimately reach out to nearly every person whose name hits the portal. Not that that's a bad thing I suppose, just as a fan, it's hard to keep track of.

Be nice over the next few weeks to know the top 3-4 guys we're in on, when they'll be deciding, etc.

Does this indicate a lack of confidence in the players we currently have?
Let's go Braden!

I don’t believe so, I think this indicates a lack of depth and veteran presence. Norris, Kennedy, Hutson, and Welch are the only guys coming back with a lot of game experience, Thomas saw very limited action and Ben Schweiger saw none. Think Coach V is attempting to field a competitive team without rushing our young guys too much, the freshman coming in will need time to adjust and get acclimated.

Loyola Chicago: “It's going great. I think I'll end up visiting there in a week and a half or so. Coach Valentine is a great dude who is definitely a players coach. He's has had a lot of success so I'm definitely intrigued by their program.”

Their message is that they lose a few guards as well. They've had success with transfers and filling some roles so I would be someone who could come in, fit their style of play and score the ball for them."

Spencer knows what he wants in a program.

“For me I just want to go somewhere where it's all about winning,” he said. “I'm a competitor. I want to play at the highest level, contribute, give valuable minutes and help a team win any way that I can.”
