I think he is the brother of Pat Spencer, Who was an interesting guy. He played lacrosse at Loyola MD for 4 years and then transferred to Northwestern and played basketball. He was pretty productive...and then went on to play in the G-league

This isn't all that exciting. I don't remember him playing against us, but not excited about the company we're keeping (Santa Clara + GCU).

You should remember him playing against us...in our 2OT win at Gentile, he led Valpo with 20 points and shot 8-13 from the field. In our two point win @Valpo, he led all scorers with 23 (8-13 from the field again and 5-9 from deep). Played 25 min/game for Valpo, shot 35.8% from deep. Has good size at 6'4. I recall him being a decent defender--if our staff can turn him into a plus defender, he'd look good out there with Braden and Quise.

Agreed, he killed us this year - and was very well defended. He’s the type of iso player that can get to his spots and score from all 3 levels. Would love to see him with more talent and better spacing around him, he’s there type of player we’ve needed at times when we get to scoring ruts and need someone to get their own shot.

I'm a fan of his as well. Felt like he had good ability to get shots against us.

High level athlete too. Think he could become a great defender on the wing

Edwards and Clay impressed me, but I'm a bit wary of Valpo transfers. Why are they all leaving, and what bad habits did they pick up there?

Their program doesn't exactly play an exciting brand of basketball. Nor is there really any excitement around Lottich and the program, in general. I think he has to be on the hot seat. If I was a talented player, I might want to get out of there too.

I don't know about the whole history, but Clay transferred to Missouri State and had a great year. JFL was second team all Big East.

Senior year highlight video:

Since we now have 4 open scholarships we might use one or two on high schoolers.
