Re: 2023 Schedule
Gotta be happy to get the H/H with Dayton and SLU, the two teams that'll likely start the season ranked in the top 25 (or right outside of it). George Mason and St. Joe's are interesting choices for the other two H/H games. Now it's time to decide where to take road trip(s) to.

Re: 2023 Schedule
Getting H/H with SLU and Dayton should happen every year, and it’s good to see us start out with it scheduled. As a whole, this shapes up really well in terms of metrics. If you’re thinking potential at-large, getting Quad 1 games and avoiding “bad losses” with Quad 3/4 games, this is about as close as we could’ve realistically expected towards those goals.
Now we just have to win the games.

Not bad. I like 3 out of 4 of our Home/Road pairings. They gave us a break not starting us out at VCU & St. Bonnies-- really tough places to play even in rebuilding years. On paper, we should win at least two road games (gulp)-- Duquense and La Salle should be 80% likely wins even on the road. Would have liked to have Fordham or GW instead of Mason as a Home/Road, but I guess we had to get one public school just to be fair/inclusive.
Looks like I'll be making the trip to Richmond, Saint Louis, and maybe Dayton. Plus Brooklyn for the tournament.
It's going to be our best home schedule in many years. Many, many years. I suspect Dayton will be ranked by the time they play here, and possibly Saint Louis. Besides the better matchups numerically, how great is it to have fellow Jesuits Fordham, St. Joe's and Saint Louis coming to Gentile Arena in the same year.... now add Dayton (likely a top 25 program), and VCU (one of the top 25 programs of the century so far).
We'll likely have four top 100 KenPom games at home (I'm thinking Dayton, Saint Louis, VCU, and maybe Rhody) and four on the road (Dayton, Saint Louis, Davidson, Richmond), plus at least one top 100 team (maybe three) in the Myrtle Beach MTE.
Now that you see the actual schedule fleshing out, it's pretty exciting.

Re: 2023 Schedule
If only we could provide this thread to anybody skeptical of the A10 move when it was announced. Think it explains itself

Re: 2023 Schedule
Given the coaching changes and transfers, I think you might be underselling UMASS’ potential. I wouldn’t be shocked if we end up with 5 “quad 1” conference road games this year.
