I would be interested to know how everyone feels about the schedule now that it's basically set.

I actually think it's extremely well put together for the current roster we have moving into a new conference.

Outsiders can say whatever they'd like, but the A-10 is a big upgrade in our conference schedule, and it's going to give us Q1/Q2 games that are almost guaranteed, which was not the case in the Valley.

I think this schedule gives us a lot of very competitive games and some names we can look forward to (Clemson, DePaul, UIC, Stanford), while giving us some games to figure out our identity and figure out what different lineups work the best (Fairleigh Dickenson, Albany, Central Arkansas).

Questions for anyone in-the-know or who has ties to the inside:

1) Was it US who made the decision not to schedule any Valley schools (not UIC who was contractually obligated from last year); or
2) Did the Valley issue an edict to everyone not to schedule us; or
3) Is it just a coincidence that nothing could get worked out with ANY of them besides previously contacted UIC?

Prior to joining the Valley, we consistently played Bradley. I was shocked we didn’t schedule a home-and-home with them, as the costs and competitiveness make it a no-brainer over Albany and Central Arkansas. I’m really hoping this is them and not us….

With almost every mid major talking about about how hard scheduling is each year, I find it hard to believe we couldn’t get any of them. We are potentially a Q2 or Q3 game for any of the top 5 teams in that league to build a resume. Who is being petty?

was really hoping that we would keep a couple of the Valley teams on the schedule...We had developed some great rivalries over the years.

Disagree on playing the Valley teams. They don't really help the metrics, would require Home & Home agreements and I'd be happy to have a season without fans who envy us coming into the arena acting superior and as gods gift to basketball.

I guess.. except Central Akransas and Albany don't help the metrics, and I would presume most people would be more inclined to go to Bradley vs. LU than Central Arkansas vs. LU.
