Just a hunch, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Ramblers soon offer Cole Certa, a 6'5" guard from Bloomington Il. who was recently offered by Drake, SIU and Illinois State following a breakout AAU tournament in Chicago playing for the Illinois

Haha, just typing my snide remark when you posted the edit.

A (somewhat) understandable mistake, given the name and man-bun haircut...and Lia Thomas.

Just to let everybody else in on the joke I am reposting Jersey's original post below:

The Polish Hammer, aka Conrad Lucyzinski, is averaging 6 ppg and 2rpg in 2 games for Team Poland in the FIBA U18 European Championship going on now. Poland split first two games, getting blown out by Turkey but beating Germany by a handful. You can watch the games live or on replay on YouTube.

He's looked so-so. On the plus side he's been aggressive on defense and in getting position on offense. On the minus side he's put up a couple awful looking shots. Doesn't start, but averages 20 mpg, 2d most on team.

My Recruiting Guru reputation gets a needed boost with this prediction coming true.

For those who don't read Japanese, here is the transliteration:

Kara ofā o moraimashita Loyola Chicago!

FYI, Google translates his name written in Japanese into English as "Rukawa Teves". I find that funny for some reason.

Did a little bit of research on Luka. The most interesting tidbit is that he is a cousin of Chicago Blackhawk great Jonathon Toews.

Luka's father is a former professional basketball player from Canada who apparently married a Japanese woman and moved to Japan, where he is a coach of a professional women's team. Luka is a Japanese native who is currently attending a prep school in New England.

Luka has an older brother Kai who played D1 ball for UNC Wilmington, where as a freshman he was second in the nation in assists, averaging over 7 per game. He abruptly left the team in the middle of his sophomore year to play professionally in Japan.

Here is Luka's Verbal Commits page:

https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/luka-toews

He's listed there at 5'10", but I've seen him listed elsewhere at 6'1" or 6'2". He has offers from a half dozen or more schools including two Ivies.

Watched just a little video. He reminds me a bit of Brock Harding, although Harding seems a little quicker. Has good court vision and good mechanics on his jumper.

An intriguing prospect.
