A10 Tournament

Post by ahunte1 »

Loyola put out some info about the hotel, meetup location, and tickets.

Thought it was notable that the $250 all-session tickets include seating behind your team's bench for every game. Seems a lot better than the MVC setup.

Edit: Fixed some of the typos.

I believe you mean "meat meetup
lo[w] action". And if that's included in the $250 package that's a great deal!

If you can't get into the team hotel at the downtown Brooklyn Marriott, I highly recommend looking for hotels on the east side of Manhattan from the Grand Central (42nd Street) area down to the Financial District. Subways are easy to use to get to the Barclays Center. Downtown Brooklyn close to the Barclays does not have nearly the amenities or is as nice to walk through to get to Barclays than staying in Manhattan. Staying near Grand Central or Union Square (14th Street) in Manhattan give you access to express train stops for the 4 and 5 (green line) trains for easy transport to Barclays. Same for hotels in lower Manhattan and additional subway lines like the 2 and 3 train.

You can still get to Fulton Hall, the team's hangout.

Because the Big East tournament is going on at the same time at Madison Square Garden, hotels around Penn Station and Times Square, which are on the west side of Manhattan, will be filled with fans from those schools.

I wrote Brian Day coincidently yesterday morning about details on tickets for the A10 tournament. When told it's on the the ticket site, I replied I was surprised that it's on the ticket site and fans weren't aware of it. He got the message ;)

He indicated regarding the GA nature of the tickets behind your team's benches is that when your team plays you can sit behind the bench but when finished, you were expected to move up for the next team playing. Makes sense and much better than the MVC tournament.

Seems all the A10 teams are staying at the Marriott. I just saw the Spirit team and Band of Wolves arrive from their Chicago flight. LaSalle is checking in to their rooms now. Loyola and Richmond teams are already here
