We look worse after the half.

Shocked Schwieger can’t crack the rotation, he gave us a good amount of offense last year

Same with Sheldon. He was our best offensive player the last few games of the year. Now it seems like he's buried on the end of the bench with Ben.Dansen wrote:Shocked Schwieger can’t crack the rotation, he gave us a good amount of offense last year
Better stuff now. Defense is tightening up and some shots are falling.

Every time we've made a run and have a chance to make it real close, FAU has answered and we fall behind double digits again. Just need to get over that hump.

Quinn and Norris are a disaster out there together

With 3 minutes to go and a 5th year PG (who is a very solid player in Norris) we have
6 Assists
18 Turnovers
FAU has
16 Assists
12 Turnovers
Really bad looking debut for the season.

FAU is good.
Our guard situation is a disaster. Our coaching is bad.

I'm starting to think the 9-11 man rotation that Drew has implemented since he took over is a big part of the problem. His strengths seem to be recruiting and maintaining a good vibe in the team, but it almost seems like he's obsessed with using every scholarship on someone who can contribute right away. It leads us to playing these huge rotations with people constantly subbing in and out to keep all these guys involved.
Last year and this year, there appears to be no on-court chemistry between the guys, and the constantly mixing of lineups can't be helping. A 7 or 8 person rotation is optimal because any more than that limits the amount of minutes your best lineup is playing together. I guess the other side of that issue is that our top 7-8 aren't much better than our 11th guy.
So far the Ivy guys don't look like much of an upgrade over Quinn/Dawson and Welch, so I'm wondering what the point of them was. Mwamba looks a lot like Edwards. And now we're not playing Schweiger at all after looked like one of our best young guys last year. Did any of these 4 transfers make us better? Maybe Watson as the athletic wing defender we didn't really have.
The transfers seem like a combination of Drew just wanting to use all the scholarships and panicking a bit over last year's performance, and I think it's leading to a lack of cohesion on the floor.
