Interesting. I would not want to run into Ohio State and think I would prefer Villanova; however, the dream is that the NIT is a non-issue for us and we're dancing. Either way, If we're not somehow able to win Brooklyn, I like our chances of making a deep run or winning the NIT after looking at some of the other schools that are listed as being in.

Previously projected likely as an #8 seed does today’s loss put us in CBI/CIT land?

Interesting to see the NET tomorrow but Richmond, Dayton, St. Bonaventure and likely St. Joe’s will all be ahead of us. Does not look good for the NIT. The CIT offers 16 teams playing at 4 campus pods then semis and championship on campus. Do that. A double header at the Joe. Or the CBI.

I would be surprised if we don't get an NIT bid.

CBI and CIT are useless for the team at this point. If we had a younger team that needed more tournament experience, I'd feel differently...but the CBI / CIT don't do much for us now.

You have to remember, some programs turn down NIT bids. Don't know if that's still going to happen with the new selection rules, but we'll see. Would love to play Butler at Hinkle. At Iowa, at Ohio State, and if there are a lot of bid thrives, at Indiana State?

But we may be the #7 A10 team. The cochamps was based on an idea imbalanced schedule. That’s a lot of teams turning it down from our league alone! Now, money talks so who knows.

We're not the #7 A-10 team. Dayton is in the NCAA, probably as an 8 or 9 seed. If VCU or SBU wins the auto bid, we might be the 3rd A-10 team at worst.

JCT,
Our NET didn’t drop but St. Joe’s and Duquesne are getting close to us and one or both could surpass us.
Currently we are #5.

1. Dayton (21)
2. VCU. (71)
3. Richmond (74)
4. St. Bonaventure (82)
5. Loyola (84)
6. St. Joe’s (85)
7. Duquesne (89)
8. George Mason (92)
9. UMass (93)

I want our team in but my point is we could be as worst as #7 but most likely #5 or #6 in the NET. Thankfully the NETs are close.
