The injury-plagued women's basketball regular season ended today with Loyola finishing as the 8th seed after a 77-63 home loss to Evansville.
The Ramblers began the season fairly strong, racing out to a 4-2 conference record and sitting at 5-4 at the midpoint. But heavy minutes by the starters, some dismal road trips, and a thin bench caught up with Loyola in the second half of the season as the Ramblers stumbled to a 6-12 finish.
Loyola will play #9 seed Bradley in the opening round of the conference tournament on Thursday in St. Charles, Mo.

So what you're saying is that Loyola doesn't have to be mentioned among the best teams in the history of women's college basketball?

Pretty smartass for a guy who follows his favorite college basketball team by reading the Tribune.
