Jayden Dawson's first game with Kansas last night. 5 points in garbage time, and in a 40pt blowout, playing behind a deep guard rotation and behind possibly the best freshman in the USA. Melvin Council Jr (Formerly of St. Bonaventure) is ahead of Dawson on the Kansas depth chart - did not see that coming.
What could have been here.....

Jalen Quinn scored 20 to help Drake defeat Northern Arizona 77-71 on Monday. Quinn shot 7 of 14 from the field and went 5 for 7 from the line for the Bulldogs. Playing 34 minutes, and was the best player on the floor. Quinn is going to do so well with Drake and playing in the MVC and how can you not love that?!?
Hope Quinn does well. Of course Northern AZ is currently 275 in KenPom. Did he make any 3's or still driving to basket? 7 FTs are a lot.

Video and highlights I found were drives and floaters in the paint. Some of them and-1's. Hit a few threes too. Go figure...

Jack Turner made his debut for Oral Robert today in their blowout loss to Oklahoma State. Started and played a ton of minutes. Put up 14 points on 5/13 shooting (2/8 from deep). Seems like he will be a key part of their squad. Glad he found a good landing spot!

Update on our transfers, for those who care:

Jalen Quinn at Drake: He has been Drake's best player, without a doubt. 33 MPG and putting up a team-leading 18.8 PPG while grabbing 4.7 RBG, 4 APG and 1.3 SPG. Free throw shooting is up to 87! 3P% is up to 34.2% (was down in the low 20%s last two years here) and he is shooting more (3.5 3PA per game). In his last four games, he has scored 31 (vs Georgia Tech), 17 (vs W. Ill), 26 (vs UAB) and 24 (vs N Dak St). No crazy turnover games either. I think he would be a much better PG for us this year than what we've rolled out. He's got that quick twitch and ability to take the ball to the hoop himself.

Jayden Dawson at Kansas: Hope he is getting paid well (I'm sure he is). Buried on the bench, especially when their star (Darryn Peterson) is healthy. In the last four games, he's played 5 minutes (0 points vs ND), 8 minutes (0 points vs UConn), 1 minute (3 points vs Mizzou) and 1 minute (0 points vs NC St). Hard to feel bad for him when he's making good money, but he could be a real difference maker on this team. Now it appears he will only get mop up minutes.

Jack Turner at Oral Roberts: Playing 25 minutes a game scoring 9.8 PPG with 2 assists per game and a healthy 40.4% from deep (which would be best on our team). Seems to be a decent fit there.

Seifeldin Hendawy at Winthrop: Was curious about how Seif would work out there. He is playing 17 minutes per game scoring 6.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists. Not shooting well (37.5% FG% and 25.8% 3P%). Nothing particularly special quite yet, but I still think he has room to develop and Winthrop is a good place for that.

Ben Schwieger at N. Iowa: Been a few years since he has left obviously. He is playing 24 minutes per game and scoring 7.4 PPG. Grabbing 3.5 rebounds with 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals. 34.8% from deep. Solid piece at UNI.
