DP hires high school coach

Depaul just hired a high school coach from the DC area, Rondel Phillips. Looks like they are focusing on the East Coast as well as Chicago. there is always lots of talk about hiring a CPS coach as an assistant.

I love this move for them mainly because it does not help them at all. Purnell does not care about recruiting Chicago, only passingly recruiting kids here. And you know there are a lot of Chicagoland HS coaches really ticked that Purnell didn't even look at any of them, which will only diminish DePaul's rep among the city's recruits. Let those guys keep trying to recruit the DMV area (unsuccessfully too), hope PM doesn't follow the same folly.
