Sheryl Swoopes' contract extended through 2017-2018

I don't disagree with the decision, but I find it odd that Swoopes' contract would be extended by the interim athletic director when the new AD should be on board shortly. You would think the new AD should make this call.

Except not having that contract can hurt recruiting. The new AD can still fire her if he sees fit, but if she doesn't have that contract, she could easily lose out on some good recruits as it looks like the university isn't behind her.
