Loyola men's basketball added former St. Viator guard Roosevelt Smart on Wednesday. The 6-foot-2 guard, now at Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas, gives head coach Porter Moser a talented scoring guard with local roots. The Ramblers also signed 6-foot-9 junior college big man Maurice Kirby, a source told CSNChicago.com
If I had to guess, I'd say that he's just assuming that Smart signed. Sullentrop was there and says he didn't.
Hamilton is one of eight Sunrise players who will sign with an NCAA Division I school. He joins Nico Carvacho (Colorado State), Matthew Neufeld (Saint Louis), Jahmal McMurray and Luis Santos (South Florida), Roosevelt Smart (Loyola), Nathan Bain (Stephen F. Austin) and Dupree McBrayer (Minnesota).

I'm just hoping that he couldn't make it to the ceremony for whatever reason and that he's already sent in his commitment.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the NCAA has a rule that schools can only put out one press release for early signees. So the fact that we haven't yet means we expect that there's a chance more letters could come.
I can't accept that Smart signed with Loyola, because that would mean my speculation, which I stated very forcefully and with confidence bordering on arrogance, would be wrong.

Well, if you are right, Swella, I will take care of your drinks between the hours of 5pm and 11pm this Saturday.
