LU lost. Kind of bogus, though. Not saying it would have changed the outcome but the MVC gets big negative points for changing voting method mid-contest (plus they get major negative points for using a facebook app with bad user rights)

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the FB app.

How did the rules change?

Not changing the rules, just the mechanism.

I know a lot of people were turned off because of the app so they didn't vote.

Not a surprise to me. No one around the league has met our mascot yet, and we haven't played a single MVC conference game in any sport. We haven't yet been able to capitalize on MVC excitement to build our fanbase. I'd be a lot more confident in our prospects in three years.

(Again, for those of you who are still dubious about how much our membership in the MVC will light a fire under our fans, just wait. There is a real, genuine passion in this league, and it all culminates in an explosion of school pride mixed with athletics as the MVC takes over a major American city for Arch Madness every March. You won't believe it-- I still feel like we've been promoted from rookie ball to AAA.)

I do agree that Bo Rambler would have fared a bit better, however. Not even the most heartless MVC fan could bring themselves to vote against a lovable hobo...
