I figured the recent (and short-lived) job posting on Loyola's website meant that they were going to hire from within; i.e. promote Gordon from director of basketball operations to assistant coach.

I think it's a good hire-nice to reward a loyal employee who's paid his dues.. And he's from the Southside too.

The remaining assistant coach's vacancy will be filled by somebody who can recruit Chicago.
