Transfer Portal Season 2023

Fully aware there are still games to play, but as other conference tournaments have begun to wrap, the Transfer Portal is beginning to heat up.

With its new found prominence in roster building, I thought it deserved its own thread separate from the freshman recruiting thread. Mods feel free to move this back there if you disagree.

First mention, but certainly not the last, I’ve seen come across my feed for this year.

Looks like we are going to take the same approach our last year. Throw our name in the bucket for a ton of guys and see how things pan out. We only have two confirmed open spots, three if Saint isn't coming back. Wonder if the staff has some idea on potential outgoing transfers and how many total spots we will be able to fill in the portal.

With the transfer portal these days who do we expect to transfer out? I would not be surprised if Hutson leaves. I would love if he stays and he and Rubin together would be a great combo down low with Welch.

Need to find some big, strong, smart, fast athletes.

Another PF / Center.

A crafty PG taller than 6'3" would be nice so that Kennedy & Norris aren't getting hammered.

I thought we could use a SG with height, but was shocked to see Trey Lewis listed 6'6". He might take care of that need nicely. He's got that A10 type of frame.

I trust Drew and Amorrow in this capacity.
